Ergonomic Aspects
Ergonomics in general is understood to be the adaptation of working conditions for a person, with the aim of achieving optimal work results while simultaneously minimising strain on the person and protecting them from injury in the long term. The equipment they use at work plays an essential role in this.
It is an undisputed fact that the use of loupes can fundamentally contribute to improved posture when performing delicate, precise work in the field of medicine. The examiner no longer needs to bend over the patient to have good view of the operating area. However, the loupe used and its adaptation to the individual user are crucial for ensuring ergonomically correct posture and therefore preventing back and neck pain as well as long-term damage due to poor posture.
