Digital Documentation
Digital documentation of lesions supports patient care and makes everyday life easier for many practitioners.
Many dermatologists and GPs already use digital documentation solutions (including the likes of video dermatoscopy and digital dermatoscopy). During skin examinations or skin cancer screenings, they capture digital images that can be saved in the patient file. The fact that all of the digital images are readily available and can be forwarded for the purposes of further treatment or exchanging ideas with colleagues are yet more key arguments in favour of digital documentation.
For example, the HEINE DERManager software solution can be used to easily document and compare dermatoscopic images and patient data. We show how to create a new patient, create overview, single or series images, and assign them on the bodymap one step at a time, and explain the comparison tools too. HEINE offers a variety of software solutions for digital documentation with the dermatoscope.
